PROTESTORS are set to hold a “symbolic mass blockade” at the entrance of Hinkley Point on Monday.
Anti-nuclear campaign group Stop Hinkley claims more than 100 people from across the UK have pledged to join the blockade, and says a march and rally will be held close to EDF Energy's regional headquarters in Bridgwater on Monday.
Group spokesman Andreas Speck said: “This blockade is designed to warn the UK government and EDF that those who understand the real dangers of nuclear power are not prepared to stand by and allow these untried, untested reactors to be built.
